Naturopathy ‘compliments’ western medicine by focusing on the initial cause of conditions from a cellular level. I like to think of my work as Preventative Medicine; understanding the body’s genetic predispositions, and identifying acquired causes (deficiencies or accumulations over time).
By understanding 'body-types' (through iridology), measures can be applied to protect and support the body’s overall functioning. I like to use the terms ‘limit’ or ‘reduce’ instead of ‘avoid’; I emphasise concepts of ‘moderation’; my nutritional recommendations are a guide only.
Iridology can tell a lot about what’s happening in the body; I commonly use words such as 'hot spots or 'nurture points' throughout individualised reports.
Iridology analysis is a guide only, and not used as a diagnostic tool.
Naturopathy empowers people to be responsible for, take control and ownership of their own health and well being. I believe it’s important for healthcare disciplines to work with one another, to ultimately devise the best possible health outcomes.
